About
We’re a community-led group of locals raising awareness and advocating for transparency, safety and genuine community consultation regarding large-scale battery developments proposed in the Rockhampton Regional area.
Who are we
CQ Renewable watch was formed by concerned residents, landholders, farmers and families across the Rockhampton Region after learning about multiple large-scale battery energy storage proposals that have been progressing with limited transparency or public input.
Our group is made up of everyday people: graziers, grandparents, young families, and workers – all committed to protecting our region from poorly placed or rushed energy developments
What we stand for

PROTECTING RURAL LAND
